Abstract
Stages from germination to plantlet regeneration of Cymbidium goeringii were observed by scanning electron microscope along the pathway of germination stage (appearance of rhizome hair bundle), rhizome elongation stage (storage of starch grain in cortex, completion of central cylinder from procambium and observation of stomata on the surface of rhizome), rhizome branching stage (beginning of branching and elongation of rhizome) initial stage of redifferentiation (formation of leaf primordia from tip of rhizome), redifferentiation stage (rapid elongation of shoot) and plantlet regeneration stage (shoot and root formation).
